New ways to modernize the healthcare workforce

Hear from Sarah King, our chief client officer, about new ways to maintain a strong and revitalized workforce that improves the care you provide, each and every day.

How Can Modernizing Empower Health Care Workers?

Sarah King:

I am Sarah King, and my colleagues and I have the privilege of partnering with some of the most innovative health organizations to solve healthcare's greatest challenges. We all know healthcare is grappling with a workforce crisis. And while each organization is as unique as the communities they serve, we're seeing clients respond with common sustainable solutions to support their teams. First, they recognize it's a strategic imperative to create an inclusive, modern environment where every person is empowered to do their life's best work. Next, they recognize technology can simplify experiences and seamlessly connect patients and providers to the information they need. They use automation to free up their staff to work at the top of their skillsets. And they use artificial intelligence to give workers the insight and support they need for swift, accurate decision-making.

Our clients see people experience greater job satisfaction when they're supported with the most intelligent, connected, and easy to use tools and systems. Healthcare workers expect to be part of a modern system, one that can improve access to care, serve a person's whole health needs, and meet consumers where they are. Innovative health organizations are using predictive analytics to anticipate staffing needs, engage 24/7 service support, and activate flexible staffing models to expand or contract based on market demands. Finally, they recognize innovative staffing models can enhance training, offer access to a broader workforce, and create new avenues for growth. When I ask employees why they pursued a career in healthcare, I often hear the same answer, to help others. We owe it to our teams and to the communities we serve, to provide the environment, tools and guidance, to help them fulfill their purpose and help make healthcare work better for everyone.
